The year 2010 has been eventful.
Topsy Turvy, roller coaster, thrills, dissapointments, joy, laughter, tears, pain, ache sums it all.
But it let me discover myself, discover love, discover many other things.
2010 resolutions achieved... does not matter.
2011 resolutions to achieve... does not matter.
Alchemy, the popular book by Paulo Coelho tells of a journey of Santiago, a sheperd boy decides to believe his recurring dream and seek to find the treasure is his dream.
During the journey, he encounters love, danger, dangers and disaster. He was supposed to seek the Alchemist who is supposed to help to find his treasure. He is suppose to lookout for signs and follow them.
In the end, he found his treasure, and he meant nothing. It was the journey that matters.
Also the core saying in the book :-
"When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."
(sounds a lot like the secret)
I read the book a long time ago, and i forgot all about it until I begin to reflect my life. I realised , i failed to identify the signs, fail to follow my dreams. and now I face the consequences.
Am lost.torn in love.
So what !!! the world still spins.
Perhaps this is my journey with many stones, rocks, torns. What does not kill you, makes you stronger.
I need to re-read this . 1st Corinthians Chapter 13 which defines Love so beautifully. I just remember this is what makes me survive the last time.
If I speak in the tongues[1] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[2] but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.
Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Sorry
Some say it easy, some have much difficulty in saying it.
Saying sorry would be admitting to error, fault, mistake, acts or words that causes hurt to another person. It's also to imply you are wrong and also, you are human. Hence the famous excuse " to err is human"
But why isit so hard ? Saying it easy, would makes it sounds insincere or perhaps the fault is little. Does it matters?
So I have caused hurt, but does sorry makes the pain goes away? I'm Sorry but no cure.
It does not. So why say sorry ?
Does it feel better for the person if the person at fault suffers the same? Not really, that's more pain.
So why say Sorry...
As I ponder this question, in my life throughout, I have done countless mistakes, fault, errors which I supposed made me human. And each time , I may be forgiven with a sorry but at times, I Am not forgiven at all. Essentially, I learn. Being forgiven is a chance given. That what shapes me. If i did not apologise, stick to my stubborness, I will grow into a BIG ARSE.
Saying Sorry is personal. If one is truly sorry, he would reflect it like a post mortem on the fault.Sincerely, one should remember this moment, the sorry moment so one would not repeat the mistake again.
Apologies does not soothe the pain, does not warrant vengence.Apologies have to be sincere.
Forgiveness does not change the past, it changes the future.Forgiveness re-connects, re-bonds , re-strengthen
However how many times one can say sorry over the same thing and be forgiven ? I have no answer to that. That's what life is,
It depends !!!

Ramblin'
It's been a long time since I last posted. Many changes along the way, both ups and downs.
I wonder at this moment, what's the meaning to life as a whole ...
After all, life's goal is death. It's the journey that's matter.

Brain Drain
Brain Drain is the talk of the town again.
I remembered I wrote about it 3 years ago, Click Here.
Interestingly, over the recent years, I've seen more Malaysians coming over the causeway to work. Maybe it's just so coincidentally that friends or friends of my friends are coming over there to work, in various industry in fact.
Today, I came across a article in Business times that talks about this indirectly. So the author decides to pull in some numbers.
140,000 malaysians left the country to work in 2007.
300,000 malaysians left from Mar 2008 to Sept 2009. Wow, a whopping almost 100% jump.
200,000 malaysians left from Jan 2009 to August 2009.
Is Malaysia really that bad until folks have to leave their family behind to seek greener pastures.
The writer that pull in economic data, GDP to be precise. To put it simply, Malaysia start off good at the starting line, promising with good potential of being one of the emerging countries. However, today with the pace that it is growing, it is losing steam.
Today, its growth rate at 5.8% is falling short of HK, Singapore, South Korea, China, Indonesia, India and even Vietnam.
Clearly, the brain drain has taken a toll on the country.

Oh my, I'm such absent minded. I've failed to do my 2009 resolutions and a year has passed.
It's almost a decade now since I graduated from school, and I close 2009 with one word , "Change". Yups, it's Obama's. But I guess he won't mind.
I had 2 major change that matters in a guy's life. Marriage and Job.
I got Married and I switched Jobs, all in the same year. I guess 2010 will be getting the dust settle down on my new life after much change in 2009. It went so fast, that I got little time to think of what ahead. Well, another one bites the dusts.
Those who have been through, says " its only the beginning " sure give me the puzzling, uncertain feeling.
Liken Paul's Warrior of Light, I shall brave this through. Here are my 2010 resolutions, , the 7 Bees.
1. Be Happy. - be kind, be positive, smile and laugh.
2. Be Healthy - cut down on alcohol, reduce waistline, exercise, eat proper.
3. Be focus - at work, chores and investment.
4. Be Hungry - for knowledge
5. Be generous - to give to the needy, to help the weak
6. Be fun - live each day to the fullest with much joy.
7. Be gracious - to friends and families.
2010, as the dust settles, a new decade begins.
